Having purchased property in the Yukon, there wasn't much reason to go anywhere. Our cabin was comfy and the views stunning. However, that old itch returned ... to hit the road with the truck and fifth wheel. And so we did on a Tuesday morning.
Only two directions to go at the end of the driveway ... southbound toward Whitehorse or northbound towards Alaska.
The truck turned north with the plan to overnight at our favourite territorial campground, Congdon Creek Yukon Gov't Campground on the shores of Kluane Lake.
The afternoon by the lake was beautiful!

The hiking along the shoreline is good when the water isn't too high.

This time of year the fireweed is blooming brilliantly. Often we're visiting during the fall months after the fireweed has gone to seed and is white.

The evening was quiet and warm. Even so, a fire was lit and we enjoyed a nice night out with few flying insects to bother us.
