The weather was perfect for a drive to one of our favourite places in Yukon! Our last couple of trips the weather had not cooperated so I looked forward to seeing the lake with the blue backdrop.
First, we stopped at a rest area south of Haines Junction; one that we had not visited before.

away and that these peaks are 50 percent higher then the ranges seen
in front
My version of the same image seen in the sign:

After enjoying the views it was time to backtrack a few miles to Silver City, a historical site on the shores of Kluane Lake.

I took a fancy to these strange little plants

Ready to pop at any time!

Back at Silver City, we explored the old buildings once again. Some were showing the effects of time. To see my previous photos of this area, see my page dedicated to this historical site: Silver City.

It was a perfect afternoon to visit Kluane Lake and Silver City. And only 90 minutes from home now! Love it!
